I’ve been very much so away from the blogosphere for the past week. I’ve been lurking around here and there, but for the most part just keeping up with twitter. I’m finally finally finally feeling better today after a week of a sinus infection from pure hell. What turned into a cough 10 days ago, turned into a sinus infection from hell and cough on day 4, I stayed home from work and went to the doctor on day 5 and by day 7 I was still coughing/sinus stuff, and on day 8 I slept 12 hours that night and day 9 and 10 were just filled with a sinus infection nose and little coughing at night. I’m hoping tomorrow this nose crap can diminish and I can get back to feeling 100%. Thankfully I’m not hacking near as much – but I haven’t slept in a bed for 9 days, until last night… let’s hope it only gets better from here. I’m ready to be healthy again!
We spent the weekend Friday, Sat and Sunday at Chris‘ parents – it was a fairly uneventful weekend to say the least which is usually kind of nice. We spent a lot of time outside, I was able to get in a workout late Saturday night since I was feeling a little better and Sunday we had a nice dinner with his parents, brother and grandparents and around 7:15 we made our 2 1/2 hour drive home. I always hate driving home, I really love it up there and I would love to live there – too bad our jobs are down here. It is nice to be close to my family though… and we are blessed to live in the place we live and pay what we pay and enjoy the privacy of the large yard/enclosure by corn fields that many others don’t have a chance to enjoy.
I’m done with work at a 11am this Thursday and won’t be returning until next Wednesday the 27th! I’m very very excited…Chris is picking me up from work at 11am on Thursday and we’ll make our way all the way up north to the cabin for the rest of the week, or 5 1/2 days. It’s going to be wonderful… fishing, relaxing, exercising (walking along/around the lake), leisurely boat rides, drives at night “deer looking”, walking around in the woods, bonfires maybe at his uncles big fancy dancy lake home, and lots and lots of other fun times. I love going up north, there is something to be said about it – it’s so peaceful and just…well, everything that I love. We’ll probably make our way up to Baxter/Brainerd too during the weekend, especially since the weather is looking to be nearly perfect, just right!
Which reminds me… up north… I need to clear off my camera or go buy another SD card. Important stuff, I plan to take a LOT of pictures this weekend… I haven’t been carrying around my camera like I normally do. I’d love love love to get this though – oh my hell, would I EVER love it. I’m going to ask for just money this Christmas/Birthday to put towards a new one, and also a photoshop program of some sort… I want to get into some of that stuff as I love taking pictures, but hate it with my stupid camera that I have now.
Alrighty, it’s 10:30 pm and I must go get some shut eye. 5:15 am comes mighty mighty quickly these days…
I’ve got to get a post or two in before this weekend (hoping tomorrow) – one especially for you new ICLW friends who will be showing up during ICLW week and wanting to now more about me… and it’s coming oh so soon on the 21st!!
…also, I’m going to starting doing a question thingy – ask anything about me sort of deal, but I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow!
